my little buddy...who is fast growing into a young man, left today for camp. He's at a church camp at the Jan-Kay Ranch in Detroit, TX from Monday-Saturday. It's his second time to go to camp, and I am hoping that he will have a better time this year. Last year he spent most of his time missing us. I am praying that this year he will relax, let his guard down to have fun, and that God will make himself present to Carl more than ever before. He is stepping into a really big arena soon (he's starting 6th grade this year and Jr. High makes me nervous the following year!) and I pray that Carl will deepen his relationship with God.
I need to get on the ball. They have to sing for their dinner if they get 3 letters in the mail. I bought stamps today, but I didn't take the letters with me....DOH!
A friend of mine who took 3 of his 4 kids to camp there said that Carl was off having a great time at the pool when he left....I knew he would! He and three other guys from church are bunking together....YAY!!!
