Our Awesome Adventure

Have you ever been on vacation and told your spouse that you are so tired of saying your kids names, but when you've been back a few days, you feel like it was the best vacation ever??? That's how I felt when we came back from our trip to San Antonio! We only got to spend a few days, so we decided to just do two day passes to SeaWorld. I think that was the best money we have ever spent. It was April's first real vacation, and she had preconceived mental pictures about Shamu and the dolphins, but to see her expressions when she saw them in real life.....worth a million bucks!

The kids loved the water park area. I think we spent hours on end there. Carl and Mark did some water slides (April and I did the one in the little kids pool several times) and April loved the wave pool, the Splash Attack area, and the Little Gator's Lagoon. Carl really loved the Wave pool and the water slides. We all enjoyed the Lazy river they had there....it didn't really let us get too lazy though...it was always shooting some kind of water at us!

April loved Shamu. Her eyes looked as big as saucers. We sat up close in a splash zone (didn't get splashed though...) and she was about 3 rows from Shamu. Oh, I almost forgot. April rode the little Shamu rollercoaster 5 times with her brother and she held her hands up in the air all 5 times! Guess that's what happens when your big brother is a roller coaster freak like his Mom.

We packed a lunch each day, and we'd sit outside the park and eat our sandwiches, chips and drinks under a shade tree. It was really nice to do things together as a family. I wish I would have had a sling to carry April around in when she got sleepy or tired. I'll have to see if Mandy will let me borrow one next time! Our camera wouldn't recharge whle we were there. Mark took mostly video, and you are welcome to view it at the link below. Our 72 hour vacation in 9 minutes! When I figure out how to post pictures, I'll get the few we took and post them.

Here's the link. I hope it works and I hope you enjoy it!
