Did I witness a miracle today?

Here in these parts of Texas, we're in a drought. I cannot remember the last time that we saw rain...until today.

After work, I let April stay to finish a craft project, so I went to Wal-Mart for a bit. After buying things that were on (and not on) my list, I stepped out into the parking lot, and I thought I felt a very, very light mist of rain. I looked up, and the sky was a little overcast, but it really didn't look like rain clouds. I drove back to the daycare center and went inside to get my girlie. While inside the daycare, the lights flickered off and on....you know, like when you get a really good storm and the power flickers? Well, April and I went to leave the center, and it is POURING DOWN RAIN! It was like the floodgates of heaven opened up and God just dumped out everything he had up there! It was raining HARD! I called Mark to tell him that we were going to wait out the rain, and he said, "What rain? It's not raining!" I stepped outside under the awning, and he could hear it over the phone! He went to weather.com and looked up the weather map....not a storm cloud or rain cloud in sight...according to the weather map! We had just cancelled Splash Day today because of water restrictions in Dallas. I think God was saying, "Why did you cancel Splash Day? Here's all the water you need!" It was great fun trying to run to the car...but by the time April and I stepped off the curb to go in the car, all the sudden, the sun came out and the rain STOPPED. It was so weird! It was so cool to see God work.

Now instead of being 99 degrees, it's a nice 81 degrees. Thank you, Jesus!
