Vacation 2009 Day 4

Today was a really beautiful day, and even though Shawn had to go into work, Mark, Sherry and I took the kids out to a local park. After getting our directions right (LOL) we made it to the park. The kids had a lot of fun! It was a bit hot, so after some good playing, we went down near the lake and saw the ducks. We sure wished that we had bread to feed them! Here are some pics from the park.






We had a nice dinner tonight, too. Mark and Sherry made lemon chicken, corn on the cob, fresh bread, peanut butter fudge and brownies with ice cream. I feel SO lucky that I lost about 20 pounds before vacation...I think I will be finding some of it while I am here! Sherry's mom and stepdad came for dinner. It was so very nice to meet them finally after hearing so much about them.

April's had an allergic reaction to some medication she was given for allergies, so we've had to stop giving it to her and start her on benedryl for the rash that developed. Have you ever heard about the side effects of Singulair? Chicken pox? Flu? We feel lucky that she just developed the rash! It's all over her trunk and shoulders. It's a 24 hour time release, so we're not giving it to her. The benedryl made her crash, so she slept right through dinner. Hopefully, we'll see the rash disappear more tomorrow once she has been off the medicine for 24 hours.

Well, I'll post more tomorrow. We are really having a great time here in North Carolina. Can't wait for Myrtle Beach in a few days!
